BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILSOF THE OCTOBER 2014 RESOURCE PERSON

Elder Felix Omoikhoje Aizobeoje Ohiwerei is a man of many parts. He is a world-class industrialist, leadership consultant, public relations expert and Senior Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God. On graduation from the University College Ibadan in June 1961, Elder Ohiwerei taught for nine months before joining Nigerian Breweries in April 1962 as Manager-In-Training. Shortly afterwards, he was promoted to the position of Field Sales Manager and in that capacity he served in the West and Mid-West and returned to Lagos in 1965 as Promotions Manager. In 1966, he was sent on attachment to Elida Gibbs (a Unilever Company in the UK). He returned to Lagos eighteen months later to assume the position of a Manager. Elder Ohiwerei was appointed Deputy Chairman/Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc in 1987. He became Chairman/Managing Director in June 1989 and in 1997, he assumed the enviable position of Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the company. Elder Ohiwerei is Chairman, Coates Brothers (West Africa) Limited, Jubilee Mortgage Bank Ltd, Asset & Resource Management Company Ltd, Bankers Warehouse Limited, e-Tranzact International Limited, World Dove Media Plc; Friendship Bible Fellowship, Ashford & McGuire and Fidson Healthcare Limited. At the University level, Elder Felix Ohiwerei has also distinguished himself. He was Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of Council, University of Ibadan from 2000 to 2004. And between 2005/2006 and 2012/2013 he was Chairman, Board of Trustees of Redeemer’s University. A holder of LL.D (Honoris Causa) from the University of Ibadan, Elder Ohiwerei is also a recipient of the Zik’s Prize in Leadership Award, the Order of Orange Nassau by the Queen of the Netherlands and Officer of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (OFR). He is National Director, Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International and Fellow of several professional bodies such as Nigerian Marketing Association; Geography Society of Nigeria; Institute of Directors and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria.
Elder Ohiwerei is happily married and blessed with children.

Pastor E. A. Odeyemi, a member of the Governing Council, is the Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Training and Education) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and Pastor-in-Charge of Region, Central Africa with headquarters in Yaounde Cameroon. He is the Vice President (Admin and Evangelism) of Christ Redeemer’s Ministries and Director, Centre for Pastoral Leadership. Pastor Odeyemi has an unusual grace of multi-dimensional applicability and relevance that straddle the ministerial, professional, administrative and the academia, or the intelligentsia. This rare quality explains the pioneering and current roles that are attributable to him at the Redeemer’s University, where he served as Director of Students’ Affairs and presently functions as a member of the institution’s Governing Council. At the Redemption Light Magazine, the official organ of RCCG, he chairs the management board. He is married to Pastor (Mrs) Esther A. Odeyemi and they are blessed with children.

Pastor Mark Ighile is the President of Scripture Communication Network, Director of Strategic Leadership Academy, Coordinator of The Mentoring Institute, Nigeria and Publisher of LeaderSpeak training magazine. He was pioneer National Pastor of Training and Manpower Development, Livingspring Chapel International, and for ten years, the Dean of Academics and Coordinator of Christ International College of Ministries, Ibadan, Nigeria. A holder of Ph.D in English from the University of Ibadan, Co-ordinator of the Department of Christian Religious Studies and one of the Associate Chaplains at the Redeemer’s University, Pastor Ighile draws his wealth of experience from over two decades of leadership positions garnered from secular and Christian organizations. The two annual conferences he currently facilitates at the Redemption Camp, Nigeria, namely, the May Leadership Summit and the October Ministers’ Breakfast Summit have been major sources of blessing to the body of Christ in Nigeria and beyond.

Mrs. Sharon Ighile is a minister of the gospel and chairperson of the Home Institute ,an NGO that is devoted to the sanctity of the home in its multi-faceted dimensions. Central to her organization are the dignity of womanhood, respect for the Girl-child, hope for the orphans and the workability of the marital institution. She was at one time the co-ordinating secretary of the handmaidens of the Lord (The Women Arm) national headquarters of the Livingspring Chapel, Ibadan. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Scripture Communication Network and Deputy Editor, LeaderSpeak Publications (Books, Magazines, Newsletters and Tracts).A holder of Masters Degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan, Mrs. Ighile currently heads the book publishing arm of the Redemption Light Magazine, the Publication Department of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
